Day 1

Puno - Uros Island – Amantani Island

After the breakfast, we passed by its hotel to gather it to 7:30 a.m. of there, we went towards the wonderful floating Islands of the Uros. These islands have been very famous, so that the villagers in spite of the time, today remain living in artificial islands done of totora, for more than 40 years, they must renew their Islands periodically, adding new layers of Totora. Their homes and their boats are done of that same material. Later, we will experience some of the old traditions of the islanders. We will taste of an exquisite lunch of the zone, will be continued traveling by boat to motor towards the Island of Amantani.
The island of Amantani is well-known like the “Island of the Love” by the magic that it hides. This Island is inhabited by native that speaks quechua and aymara native of the zone still prevailed by their old traditions, whose main occupation is the production of ceramios and textiles. At night we will stay ourselves in the houses of the islanders enjoying the hospitality of a typical home of Amantani and will participate if it is desired of its activities. Supper. (L.D.)

Day 2

Amantani Island – Taquile Island – Puno

After the breakfast, We will take a boat to motor towards the Island from Taquile, also lived by native native that still it continues practicing the exchange, made through generations. In this island we will be able to learn about the loom weave while the native ones walk and they salute to us with “good morning”. They speak to the language quechua and maintain the identity of group and community. Later we will take a rest to have lunch. In the evening, we will approximately return to Puno to 17:30 hours. Transfer from the port to the hotel.(B.)
