Day 1
Lima International airport to Hotel

Arriving and Transfer from the Lima international airport to the Hotel. the rest of the day to relax and acquaint yourself. Overnight at the hotel in Lima.

Day 2
Lima - City Tour

In the morning we will start the city tour, with its 2000 years of history, begins at the colonial center of the city, with its historic buildings surrounding the splendid Plaza Mayor. View the impressive Palace of the Archbishop with its fine carved balcony, the opulent Government Palace, the offical residence of the President, and the Cathedral of Lima whose first stone was laid by Pizarro. Continue to the Monasterio of San Francisco complex with its magnificent tiles, exceptional paintings and world – renowned library. Then we will visit to the Larco Herrera Museum, considered the best museun in Lima, here admire the world’s largest collection of pre-columbian masterpieces and a stunning exhibition of gold and price jewels. Return to the hotel, free afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in Lima. (B.)

Day 3
Lima – Cusco

Transfer to the airport after breakfast for your flight to Cusco in the Peruvian Andes. This ancient capital of the inca empire, designated a UNESCO World heritage Site. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day acclimating to the altitude. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco. (B.)

Day 4
Cusco – City Tour

Free morning. Take time to explore some of the city’s stunning sights or shop for some of the finest handicarfts and textiles in all of Peru. In the afternoon, join your group on a tour of Cusco that takes you to the impressive Colonial Cathedral, with its collection of over 400 paintings from the Cusqueña school and to the extraordinary Temple of the Sun at Koricancha, then we will visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Temple of Qenko, Fortress of Pucapucara and finally the temple of Tambomachay. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco. (B.)

Day 5
Cusco - Sacred Valley

Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy this morning at leisure in the Sacred Vallley to explore some of the ancient ruins. Explore the Inca Pisac ruins and the village of Pisac. Then we will continue to Urubamba, where we have lunch in a tourist restaurant. Afterwards, visit the impressive Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, an ancient complex of temples and terraces towering high over the valley, the last stand of the Incas in their defense against the Spanish conquistadors. Finally we will visit to the Colonial Church of Chinchers and Local Market. Return to Cusco around 18:30 pm. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco. (B.L.)

Day 6
Cusco – Km 82 - Wayllabamba

Pick up from your hotel at 6.00am and travel by bus to the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo, here will have time to visit the surroundings area of the town, continuing our trip to the kilometre 82, where we will begin our trek cross the Vilcanota River and follow the trail to the right as it climbs steeply up from the river. We will stop at our first Inca ruins of Llactapata (also known as Patallacta on some maps). Llactapata means Upper town in Quechua and was first discovered by Hiram Bingham, we will visit for 30 minutes this archaeological complex before continuing our walk to the small village of Wayllabamba (3000 m). We will probably spend the night here depending on the speed of the group. (L.D.)

Day 7
Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo

After breakfast. This is the most difficult day of the trail, we will traverse towards the highest point of the Inca Trail, the Warmiwanuska Pass also known as The Dead Woman Pass; on the ways there we will witness different microclimates. After approximately 3 hours of walking the Warmiwañuska, we will have an amazing view of the Vilcanota and Vilcabamba Mountain Chain. We will descend through a winding valley till we reach the area where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will proceed ascending again until the Pacaymayo where we will set up our campsite, dinner and rest for the night. (B.L.D.)

Day 8
Pacaymayo – Wiñaywayna

After the breakfast and on this day we will ascend thorough a steep trail and will reach the second Pass where the impressive archaeological rests of Runkuracay (3800 m.a.s.l.) afterwards, we will walk for two hours more we will visit another small complex Sayacmarca (3600 m.a.s.l.) known as The Dominant Town. Here we will also see very interesting Incan ruins. We will continue through the valley where we will make a stop for lunch. We will continue ascending to see the town Phuyupatamarca, Town above the clouds (3665 m.a.s.l.) without a doubt one of the most original town on the whole Inca trail. After wards, we will descend to a place called Wiñaywayna citadel (2700 m.a.s.l.) to end this day, we will continue to our last campsite to have dinner and rest for the night. (B.L.D.)

Day 9
Wiñaywayna – Machu Picchu - Cusco

Early morning breakfast. This day we will walk around 6 km distance, or approximately 3 hours to the next stop. Along the route we will be able to see a great variety of flora and fauna. Afterward, we will arrive to Inti Punku – Sun Gate (2490 m.a.s.l.) where will be able to observe the impressive lost city of Machu Picchu and take panoramic pictures. We will continue to walk to the Sanctuary and guided tour of approximately 2 hours with a bit of free time to explore. Afterwards, we will catch the bus in direction of the town of Aguas Calientes, you will be able to have the lunch and later that afternoon we will take the train to return to Cusco. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco (B.)

Day 10
Cusco – Puno

After the breakfast, we will have transfer to bus Station. Depart Cusco early in the morning, enjoying spectacular scenery as you drive through the Andes mountain range and the Andean plain to Puno on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. En route visit the 15th century Temple of Wiracocha, with its elaborate stonework, the largest Inca temple ever discovered. Raqchi remains home to many farmers, ranchers, and artisans. Then, you arrive to Puno and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Puno. (B.L.)

Day 11
Puno – Titicaca Lake – Amantani Island

After the breakfast, transfet to the port in Puno. From here we will take the boat and begin to sail on the Titicaca Lake, the highest (3,821 m. a. s. l.) commercially navigable lake in the world. We start by visiting the floating islands of Uros made of reed mace, and mingle with the Uros people who live on the islands. We learn about their life in perfect harmony with the lake and the way they use all what it gives to them. Continuing with our tour, we leave the Uros and sail to Amantani Island. Once in Amantani passengers will be introduce to the local hosts as they will be allocate as guest in local family house. Dinner and breakfast will be prepare and served by the local family. In the afternoon we visit the top of the Island visiting Inca ruins and if the weather is good appreciate the Titicaca Lake sunset. Overnight at Local Family (B.L.D)

Day 12
Amantani Island – Taquile Island – Puno

This morning passengers take the boat again and sail to the second Island called Taquile.Here we take a walk on the island visiting the Taquile Village. On this peaceful island, dominated by tiered platforms, you can admire the beautiful textiles and garments while you watch the natives weaving. On this island we will also have a Lunch break and enjoy meals based on trout from the lake. Back in Puno. Overnight at the Hotel in Puno.(B.L)

Day 13
Puno – Juliaca airport – Lima

Transfer to Juliaca airport. Where we will board the flight to Lima, rest of the day is at leisure.
