Day 1

Itinerary

We will pick up from the hotel at 13:20 pm. The groups will first visit the centre of Cusco, our guide will present the Cathedral (build in a Baroque style and having painting of the Cusqueña School). After that you will head to the Temple of the Sun or Qorikancha upon which the Convent of Santo Domingo has been built. According to a legend, this temple was entirely gold plated and many conquerors were impressed by its magnificence when they came here. Next we will visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, situated on a mountain overlooking Cusco, you will see mindboggling huge Stone blocks, almost 9 meters in height, placed prefectly. Following we will set course to Qenqo, also known as the labyrinth. This temple dedicated to Mother Earth is a unique center of celebrations and astronomical studies. Later on we will visit Pucapucara, another Incan archeological site locales on top of a hill and used as a fort and administrative center. Finally we will visit Tambomachay, a place also know as the inca bath.
