Day 1

Cusco – Chinchero – Maras Moray – Salineras – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo - Pisaq – Cusco

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco between 6:30 and 6:55 AM to begin our journey north. Our first stop is Chinchero , where we will visit a local community to explore the Textile Interpretation Center. Next, we will visit the Moray Archaeological Site , renowned as the Inca Agricultural Laboratory, and continue our journey to Maras to explore its famous Salt Mines.
Afterward, we'll head to Urubamba , where we'll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring the best of Peruvian and Andean cuisine. Following lunch, we'll visit the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site , formerly an Inca tambo (way station) and the starting point for the pilgrimage to Machu Picchu. Here, we'll delve into history as we explore its iconic stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun, and the Princess' Baths fountain.
On our way back to Cusco, we'll stop in Pisac . We'll ascend to the majestic archaeological site built atop a mountain. Upon descending, we'll have the opportunity to stroll through its vibrant artisan market, where skilled local craftspeople offer unique pieces. The day will culminate with our return to Cusco, arriving at Plaza de San Francisco around 7:00 to 7:30 pm. (L)
