PERU PROGRAM 10 DAYS
Discover the mystery of our Peruvian Andes, begins our visit to the city of Cusco capital of the Incas, city full of culture and history. We will visit the beautiful Sacred Valley and the wonderful Citadel of Machupicchu, which lies in the middle of a spectacular natural scenery. Finally we will cross the south valley heading for the City of Puno and Lake Titicaca. A fantastic trip knowing the wealth of the Andes of our country Peru.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Lima Airport – Hotel.
Arriving and Transfer from the Lima international airport to the Hotel. the rest of the day to relax and acquaint yourself. Overnight at the hotel in Lima.
Day 02: Lima – Cusco.
Breakfast at Hotel, pick up from hotel and transfer to the airport. We will take the local fligth to Cusco, arriving we will have a transfer to the hotel, them there will be a welcome meeting with a short introduction to cusco by from Adventure Peru Trek. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco (B)
Day 03: Cusco - City Tour
Free morning. Take time to explore some of the city’s stunning sights or shop for some of the finest handicarfts and textiles in all of Peru. In the afternoon, join your group on a tour of Cusco that takes you to the impressive Colonial Cathedral, with its collection of over 400 paintings from the Cusqueña school and to the extraordinary Temple of the Sun at Koricancha, then we will visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Temple of Qenko, Fortress of Pucapucara and finally the temple of Tambomachay. Day 04: Cusco - Sacred Valley.
Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy this morning at leisure in the Sacred Vallley to explore some of the ancient ruins. Explore the Inca Pisac ruins and the village of Pisac. Then we will continue to Urubamba, where we have lunch in a tourist restaurant. Afterwards, visit the impressive Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, an ancient complex of temples and terraces towering high over the valley, the last stand of the Incas in their defense against the Spanish conquistadors. Finally we will visit to the Colonial Church of Chinchers and Local Market. Return to Cusco around 18:30 pm. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco. (B.L.)
Day 05: Cusco – Aguas Calientes.
After Breakfast, in the morning transfer from the hotel to the train station where passengers aboard the train to Aguas Calientes. Arriving we will have a transfer to their Hotel.
Free afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in Aguas Calientes(B.D)
Day 06: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco.
After the Breakfast we will take bus to Machu Picchu sanctuary arriving there. We will enjoy a guided tour for 2 hours. After that, we will have the opportunity to freely explore the wonderful lost city of the Incas. After our visit we will go back to Aguas Calientes, where we can enjoy a relaxing bath at the local hot spring. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco. Day 07: Cusco – Puno.
After the breakfast, we will have transfer to bus Station. Depart Cusco early in the morning, enjoying spectacular scenery as you drive through the Andes mountain range and the Andean plain to Puno on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. En route visit the 15th century Temple of Wiracocha, with its elaborate stonework, the largest Inca temple ever discovered. Raqchi remains home to many farmers, ranchers, and artisans. Then, you arrive to Puno and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Puno. (B.L.)
Day 08: Titicaca Full Day.
This morning, an excursion by boat transports you from Puno to the fascinating Floating Uros Islands where the indigenous completely man-made structures, using the totora reeds from the lake to build the island and houses. The Uros live very much the same as their ancestors did and still follow the ancient customs and traditions. Continuing with our tour we will go to Taquile Island, here we take a walk on the island visiting the village. You can admire the beautiful textiles and garments while you watch the natives weaving. Where we will also enjoy a lunch. After back to Puno. Overnight at the hotel in Puno. (B.L.)
Day 09: Puno – Juliaca – Lima.
Transfer to Juliaca airport. Where we will board the flight to Lima, rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Lima. (B)
Day 10: Lima – International Airport.
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your departure flight. (B.)
