HUCHUY QOSQO TRAIL 2D/1N
This trek is ideal for those passengers who really want to be far the middle of nowhere with only nature surrounding them as they camp in an área that is scarcely seen by tourists. Huchuy Qosqo is localet above the valley of Urubamba and offers very spectacular views over the mountain range Cordillera.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Cusco - Huchuy Qosqo.
Early pick up from your hotel, starting from inca site of Tambomachay outside of Cusco, from here, we will start walk, you will see villages in the area as Puka llaqta, people devoted to grazing, and Ccomer Ccocha Lagoon and the Andean landscape, to reach the 1st pass at 4,200 meters. We will continue to follow the trail down into the valley. Passing through the village, the trail takes us up over the second pass and into high open country. On the way, we will pass by the beautiful Lake. Finally, we will descend towards the Huchuy Qosqo, where we will arrive in the afternoon. Where you spend the night. (L.D.)
Day 02: Huchuy Qosqo – Cusco.
After breakfast, we'll visit the archaeological complex of Huchuy Qosqo at approximately 3 hours, where the Inca buildings had made of stone and adobe which has a great example of Inca style. Continuing we will descend to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for 3 hours reaching Lamay community where the transport will pick us up to bring us to Cusco.(B.)
